today is a veri special day for all of us...
i will always remember 220506...

really hope tt all tis happy things will go on forever n ever n ever...
how i wish tml never comes, today never dies
but all good things have to come to an end...
its mixed feelings for me...
i'm sad tt all of u will be leaving the CCA (me, jannah n grace kana ditched by all of u)
however i'm happy tt all of u are moving on to the next phrase.
its time to move on, the newbies are coming in.
aKe will not be the same anymore.
MIAKE's GOLD w HONOURS status will oso go with u pple.
Mi aKe will have to start with zero experience, zero standards.
tt means everything has to start all over again, the grooming, discipline, methods of teaching etc.

Not sure if its suitable to say tis now but, whoever is reading tis now, n will still be sticking with the CCA for at least another year, lets help miss wee forge another bunch of GwH CCA. Lets not think tt aKe is jus another CCA, think in a way tt it is an organisation tt brings passion, joy, peace n culture through the only universal language tt human beings possess, MUSIC.

MUSIC is not just Art, make it into a "religion" (but not asking u all to worship it la)

AKE practices are the times i really look forward to.

i like the spirit we have.

there are no strangers in AKE
and i love that.
it's really like a big big family.
i have no regrets joining ake.
it's the BEST CCA i have ever joined.

having to countdown the number of practices i have left
is just really torturing.
i cant bear to leave.
i'll miss everyone.
it'll be hard to find another CCA like this one.

ok jus to update on the happenings...

aKe went for the first performance in 2006 to Henderson Senior Citizens' Home...
it was a good performance, the old folks enjoyed it a lot... (i didn't noe Liang kai can interact so well with those Ah Peks n Ah Mas...) n guess wat ppl... some of us are actually on ST papers (Saturday 25/2 Home section) well it is jus a picture... the article didn't mention much about aKe...
then on Saturday the ensemble went for a culture performance at the Durian shell at Marina (the esplanade la bodohs) the performance was a veri nice one,it features Alexandre Tharaud the pianist. Omg ppl hu didn't went for the performance should hear how well he played the piano... (how i wish i m like him :X)
the performance oso include SSO n played wonderful pieces (which i dunno wat pieces are those) by Claus Peter Flor... the night ended pretty ok for most of us...

Heard tt A level results will be releasing soon... so good luck to those hu are involved...

today is a veri special day for us...
its the first aKe practice after one month of dreadful Promos...
congrats to all (cos u all finish le mah...)
today's practice onli got year 1s (plus me year 1 & 1/2)
becos almost all the year 2s are doing their pW.
i think by now the year 2s will be puking abuses/ vulgarities when they saw the word pW again.
haha..

wat the year 1s did today was veri simple... (for me to explain)
they are playing Mission Impossible...
it seems tt its difficult cos after so many practice we still cannot get it right...
as for me, i no instrument, so i did wat i can do best, SLACK! =p

actually we can get new pieces today, onli Auntie Wee never bring...
we will be playing all the songs we played for lau pa sat b4 (again)
plus the Mission Impossible n some other new songs tt i hope Auntie Wee remember to bring the next practice on the 12th of November at Lau Pa Sat again...

Hey guys! A shout out to all the wonderful performers for tonight's show! Give yourselves a round of applause cuz you guys did great! *grins* I've watched a video of the performance and yeah, you guys were good! The dance for Taste of Classics and Hawaii 5-O was cute hehe, keep up that spirit for AKE k? Keep the MiAKE virus going! Wah hahahahahaha We gotta keep our reputation yar hehe

Congrats for the international broadcast! haha, yeah, I'm talking about that camera man from a tv station in China. Hehe, That was something unexpected for most of us I'm sure heh, but well, it happened so... *grins*

Anyhow, my mom told me that a lot of people approached asking where were we from. Want to know what their thoughts were? haha, I can't remember all in detail, but here are a few:

1) They thought we were professional musicians
2) When informed we were from a school, they thought we were post graduate students from a university
3) They thought we've been taught and trained to play our instruments since infancy

Haha. so yup, take that as an encouragement and keep striving to get better k? ^_-

Ahem...
allow me to give u ppl a report on wat happen on the bbq nite...
Firstly... tt boi tt PISSED ME OFF didn't come... (thank god)
Secondly, i dunno about the others but i have alots of fun...
farid n shuning get stuffs from my phone... (is my phone tt crappy?)
when me xue zhen, pok, jannah, n dian went back from the supermarket,
we can smell the fire , smoke can be seen too,
so i wondered , "hu is sending a smoking signal?" it turn out to be xX n liang kai starting
the fire for the nite...
then when all the LATE presidents n vice president arrived...
the gathering is like MI aKe's HALL OF FAME featuring all the past leaders n present leaders
its such a grand event... (believe me, at first i thought all of them are Salmah's bf :X jk)
Thirdly... there are ppl hu become the centre of attraction, ( for example,Mr foong + lianng kai's lame jokes)
Ah Pok did a very nice things tt i think i can't thank her enough which is, she keeps going around with her "fan" n ask whether they are HOT or not... n ya she did create a COOL breeze for everyone, including me...

as u ppl noe my command of english is indeed veri POWDERFUL...
therefore i shall leave it to them to continue... (i m sure someone will continue tis story)

Hello :) It's now already into the third week of the June holidays yeah. I feel bad for not being able to be around as we integrate the year ones into this wonderful and loving family. My apologies for the mere hour i spent with you guys on thursday, it would have been longer if I coud afford it. *gomenasai* Anyhow, our (self declared haha) traditional bbq is coming up in 6 days so lets make it a fun ane memorable experience not just for ourselves, but the year ones as well k ^_- afterall, we weren't always the way we are with each other now hehe.

Remember how we'd have our own comfortable circle of friends? It was through our first performance at the Esplanade that we started to thaw and venture our of our comfort zones and at the first bbq at Ms Teh's place that we began to break the ice. By the time we performed again in December, we had almost achieved the full unity that won us our gold with honours for SYF this year. So I really hope that this would be our first stepping stone into making our new members an indispensible part of the ensemble, take this opportunity to get to know each other better :D

Oh yeah, and don't leave liangkai and xiao xuan to bbq on their own again k haha That's what happened to them the last time hehe Don't just help them eat ya haha ^_-

we played yue liang dai biao wo de xing (the moon represents my heart),
n Chan Mali Chan...
the year 1s did amazing well when it comes to chan mali chan...
(the problem lies with me n tt black metal, i keep playing the wrong notes)
when it comes to the moon song, they "manage" to make it...
but of course there is still room for improvement...
not many ppl are present for today's practise (there are onli 22 year 1s, including me)
as for the year 2s, many of them are either on Pre- U Seminar or on "holiday"
at thailand (how to spell the place's name?)
we start late bcos we have to arrange the instruments properly... (poor xX, liang kai not there to help)
n ya, ROMMANCE PISSED ME OFF!!!

lastly, on behalf of the welfare department,
all year 2s (plus the 5 veri veri veri veri special year 1s [me!]) are to bring $5 on THURSDAY's practise...(take note tt friday's practise has been changed to Thursday 1400hr to 1700hr)

Hello! Haha, first time blogging here ^_^ Well, first off, I want to affirm Xiao Xuan for the wonderful job done on the AKE webbie and this bloggie ^_^ *applauds*

Also, want to congratulate all the new exco members and yup, I hope that we will be able to follow in the footsteps of our beloved predecessors (Ningz, Luq, SL, Shak and Cami) and continue to make AKE a wonderful cca that is almost as close as a family that everyone feels a sense of belonging and ownership to. We must take this cca to a whole new level yeah, especially now that we have so many new members even from Bartley campus - we have to show that overwhelming sizr and distance does not prevent a united and loving ensemble ^_-

So yeah, year 2s (and our 5 special and precious year 1s ^_-) Our new members didn't have a chance to meet our wonderful seniors so we're the only bridge they have that can link the two 'generations' and allow for them to get to know and enjoy each other. And since we have two practices coming up in June for the exact purpose of helping our new members to be familiarised with the ensemble and their seniors, let's do a good job alright? I regret not being able to be around for the first practice but you'll deffinately see me at the second ^_^

Oh and happy one month GWH anniversary! (as Jannah has been so cute to remind us today haha)

Yup definately 20-05-2005 is a gd day to rmbr.... It was a sad, yet meaningful day... I saw how much effort and time all the yr 2s and 1s had put in for us... I saw how nice the decoration was... The performance, the momentos, the certs... I saw how much ake peeps love us... The amt of tears... The amt of tissues used up... Everything.... Oh my... Aren't we too closely bonded? Too closely bonded to the extend that, separation makes us reluctant.... Separation makes us teared... Haix....

Always rmbr, that in future sch performances, like national day or teachers day concert, there'll always be this particular grp of ppl cheering and clapping for ake... Even if the sch is dead. Even if the sch does not support ake anymore. Even if the whole world does not support ake anymore. These 5 ppl will continue to be there, supporting and motivating ake.... They are none other than the five yr 3s....

Just say it. And we'll be there. Any field trips? Any makings of the new ake tshirt? Dun forget to count us in ok? Will drop by anytime... Hahax!

I agree with what xiao ma says... even if the whole school is dead, or even if the whole school does not come and support all future ake performances (which i stressed its very unlikely, nearly impossible, probability almost equals to zero...) the five of us will continue to support you guys and you can count on me to scream for you shamelessly. (that's a PROMISE). Just call me up whenever you guys are having performance, and i'll try my best to go and support you people on your big day.

20-05-2005 is a veri special date for everyone...
to the couples, its a good day to tie knots at the ROM...
but to aKe family... it is still a good day for us (its bad 4 me la)
the year 3s have passing their duties to the year 2s...
farid n yani are the new Daddy n Mommy of aKe family
the good thing is, all of us have to proceed on... if the year 3s continue to stay in aKe,
they will not grow... they will remain at tis comfort zone...
its time for them to move on to put their heart n soul to tt sickening cambridge examination (A levels)
but i noe tt aKe family will always welcome them back... (well as long as i m still alive n breathing in MI aKe, i will make sure they do tt.... lol)
the sad part...
i will miss the laughter generated by them alot...
tis oso reminds me tt... in one year's time (next year)
i will be saying good bye to the current year 2s... (it will be difficult 4 me... as usual)
by then, me, together with jannah n grace, will considerthe veteran aKe players
who have witness the changeover of leaders for 3 generations...
3 of us have witnessed n exprience (is it spelled correctly?) an Ensemble from ZERO...
to GOLD w HONOURS!
i hope tt farid n yani n the Excos will lead tis Ensemble to scale (is it correct again?) greater heights... (sounds familiar?)
hmm... maybe aKe can consider performing overseas some days...

Hey peeps...
my first time blogging... anyway, i wanna thank all of you guys (and gals) for the farewell today. (or should i say yesterday?) anyway, thank you so much for all the effort you have put in and yes, i can't stop crying the moment i reach home... i think i will sorely miss you guys especially the angklung peeps coz i will miss playing the angklung with you guys again... Thank You so much for being a wonderful team. I am so gald and I have no regrets i repeat i never have regrets in joining angklung.

The Institute Day is this coming Saturaday (14/05/02005). Our MI idol, Shak, will be singing a beautiful song entitled "Reach" with her powerful voice! [Go Shak!!] Ake(ians), remember to sway with Shak on that day! :D

Our AKE Farewell will be held on 20th May 2005, Friday, in the MR. Current year 2(s) and the 5 year 1(s), lets put on our best performances for that day. Though we hope this day will not come so soon, still it is not beyond our control.

Hi fellow ake(s)!!! or should it be fellow "gold and honourable"? :) Our SYF ended not long ago and we achieved a Gold with Honours. The credit goes to Mrs Tan (Mdm Wee)- no her, no ake - this is how important she is! Not forgetting us, every single one of us, even the teachers in charge, we all have put in our best and we got the best result. [Ning ma's best birthday present ^-^] There's the Institute Day coming, let's put up another spectacular performance on that day!
